RCA Dome comes down today

It's not quite going out with a BOOM, but the RCA Dome is being deflated today. (Much to the delight of some drum corps fans. I, for one, always thought it was a pretty bad place to hear a drum corps performance and have high hopes for the new place across the street.)

You can watch it be "deflated" at 10:30 a.m. Indy time by going here.

(Thanks Jim for the heads-up)

Ya know, this is just a perfect example of the lack of creativity in the demolition industry today. With a little ingenuity, they COULD'VE super-inflated it and MADE it go BOOM, thereby adding a little excitement to all of our lives. But nooo... just let the air out. How pathetic. Thank goodness for drum corps.

awe... that makes me a little sad.. the RCA dome was where I marched my one and only night show with the Colts in 2002... definitely some great drum corps memories there.
