Words from the road- COLTS and COLT CADETS debuted their shows to a very full and excited crowd last night. Show went well and all the hard work was showing as they performed. The corps is in great spirits, full of pride and anticipation to get out on the road. The season is in full swing today!

COLTS LOVE MAIL!!!!

Please remember NOT to have anyone send anything via UPS, Federal Express, or any other carrier except the US POSTAL SERVICE. Also, never have anything sent directly to our housing site. The school secretary will think it is the new textbook the teacher ordered, and put it in the school warehouse until fall.

Stopping in to see the corps?? When you visit the Colts on tour, get to our housing site as early in the day as you can to give us a hand. And, when you come, please consider bringing 300 homemade cookies (your kids favorite is great) and/or fresh fruit or vegetables for 200!  Feel free to bring bananas or any other fresh fruit! They love it!

We need your help for tour! There are still spots on the summer calendar that need to be filled! Parents, if you are able to help during the summer or have any questions, please contact Bill Symoniak by calling 651-470-3553 or email colts.cooks@comcast.net. A great experience for your member is up to you! You won't want to miss out!

NEAT STORY FROM A COLT ALUM!

  • Yesterday at 5:30am the Terrier Orion rocket went mach 4.1 and hit an altitude of 380,000ft. My research payload and Colts triangles experience 0 gravity for 116 seconds as the rocket and payload floated in space and then came back down to earth.
I'm working on a scientific payload for NASA and I had extra room in our designated canister to send up the triangles. Both Triangles did return back to earth safely and are back with me.
I want the current members of the Colts to know about this. Not for the sake of tooting my horn, or how awesome it is; I want them to know that the values and work ethic that you obtain from the Colts carries on with you for the rest of your life. Had I not marched with the Colts, my work ethic would have not got me to where I am today.
