Colts 2010 Day 3

Bill Reports that they dodged the rain yesterday. Nice and cool today. It was fantastic to see the Full Ensemble under the lights last night. Reading a Colts Twitter Post it sounds like “Green” Rocks!!!
I put together a little map that covers the Colts Summer Travel - 7172 miles!!! And that is just the point to point  (as the crow flies) distance. Pretty impressive,

ASK - Pass along that there is a Phone number on the Cook truck Board that can be used to get information into this blog. Just send a text or Picture (MMS) with the info they want posted and their name/Instrument.

Today is Monday, May 24; It's Percussion pre-season workshop

Welcome to the start of the 2010 tour.

The percussion workshop is at St. Clement's Parish in Epworth, IA - just west of Dubuque on Hwy. 20. Click here for weather.

Joshua, Lindy, Rod and myself will try to keep up with all that is happening. Our intent is to have daily updates during tour starting next week. We have lots to do to get up to speed so be gentle to us.

Here is a task for each of you to do - now that you've found the Virtual Cooktruck, share the site with parents and families of first year Colts that you've befriended.

Debut camp this weekend

One of the best camps is coming this weekend. The Spring Debut at 2:00 on Sunday in Senior HS gym is one you don't want to miss.

Unfortunately, I'll be missing it as I won't be at camp this weekend. That means that if you have any updates for touring this summer you will need to email me at colt.cooks@comcast.net.

We have the most need during the second, third and beginning of the fourth weeks. Also, the first 10 days of August are a little light.

An updated Cook Calendar 2010 is on the right listed under Links.

Updated cooks calendar

A new cooks calendar is posted on the right. If you haven't contacted Bill about being on tour, please do so! It's the experience of a lifetime! Remember, if cooking isn't your thing, we need van drivers too!

If you have already contacted Bill about tour, thank you! Please verify your dates on the calendar. If your name is magenta, you must contact Bill to confirm your dates, and he will change your status to DEFINITE.

Bill's email address is colts.cooks@comcast.net.

Thanks!

Great weather for camp

It looks like we will be having great weather (for late March in Iowa) for this weekend's camp. Maybe we'll even get outdoors. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

A new calendar is posted on the right. If you haven't contacted me about being on tour, see what dates will fit your schedule. A large, green "F" means we have a full complement of cooking help. But, if there is not two drivers listed we still have availability for van driver(s).

If you have contacted me about tour, check out your dates on the calendar. If your name is magenta, contact me to insure that I have the dates correct and I can change your status to DEFINITE. Your name in black means that you are already "DEFINITE" for those dates.

My email address is colts.cooks@comcast.net.

Oh, one other thing - an updated cooks calendar is available by selecting "Cook Calendar 2010" under Links on the right.

Let me know when you can tour by emailing me at colts.cooks@comcast.net.
