Volunteers: It's Time to Sign Up -- Now!

Summer is closing in, and the cooktruck volunteer list is not full. This is not good.

The cook list needs to fill up. Fast. So sign up now.

We still need volunteer cooks and van drivers for this year's tour. There are a few days that have a full crew of cooks. But those are few. We could still use one or two more volunteers to help out on the cooktruck most days. In fact, for one of the weeks in June, there is no Head Cook and only one rookie cook. This is not good.

Drivers are covered from July 7 to July 16. For all the other days from the time we leave cornfield tour June 15 until we arrive in Madison on August 7, we need at least one van driver. This is not good.

If you've already signed up, good for you. If you haven't, well, we need you NOW. The corps does not get down the road -- or fed -- without all of us helping. We already know how good they're going to be this year. We have to show them right now how good we are going to be. They need each one of us to help. They deserve it.

To sign up, email Bill at colts.cooks@comcast.net with all the days you can work this summer. Or catch Bill at camp in Sterling and get on the schedule.

p.s. If you're reading this and your family and friends don't visit here, it's up to you to tell them that we need their help! Do it!

Hey Colt family...

I know it might seem kinda scary to sign up to volunteer....but you won't be sorry...I guarantee it!!!!

You might even find that you have hidden skills that you never knew you possessed. Not everyone can say they know how to feed
165 - 180 people 4 meals a day...just think of putting that on your resume.

Don't think cooking is for you...then.....you could be a van driver. The nightlife of the van driver is awesome....talking on the cb...hitting 4 truck stops in 4 different states in one night...
actually being awake to see what town we are arriving in and knowing it's name...and then you get to sleep during the day....Now..that's a claim to fame.

So...step forward...your vacation time will be well spent...

I am on my second ageout summer (my son aged out in 2004)...and I am looking forward to many more with the Colts.

Please think about helping this summer...I promise...YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT....

Do I need to say more?

It is even worth it to come over from Holland in Europe and have the best time you can imagine.
Not to mention the oppertunity to become a member of a great family.
It will last a lifetime.

You guys are living so close to go anytime you want to meet up with your Colts relatives.

Being so fare away it makes you want come over to join year after year, and it makes you feel sorry if you have to skip a season and miss the fun with my Colts family.
Defenately NO REGRETS!!

Go family!!!
