What chaos?? It is a well-oiled, finely tuned, non-messy, very organized, spacious habitat without any unplanned pandmonium, bedlam, or commotion.
I miss the quiet times - in the freezer looking for the nuggets, or in the frig mixing drinks.
I miss the kid's faces when they come to the back of the truck looking for medicine, but are really there for some much needed support, kindness and hugs.
I miss hearing a heartfelt "thank you" or "hello, cooks" from a very appreciative kid that can barely lift their arms to reach the plate.
I miss the other cooks the most. YOU ARE ALL THE GREATEST!!
