April Camp a Success

It was great seeing the full corps at camp last weekend.  Was a full house at Hempstead High School with the brass, percussion and color guard sections - plus the Colt Cadets battery.  Definitely is a reminder summer tour isn't far off.

Thanks to all of the volunteers who prepared and served food to the students and who worked on uniforms.  You all did a fantastic job.

Jason is very busy working on our housing for the summer and has been able to finalize some locations.  I've posted an updated 2017 Cook's Calendar under Important Links on the right.

Specific added housing is:
  • added additional day in Allentown on 7/1;
  • additional day in Lynn on 7/5;
  • probably in DC on 7/6;
  • additional day in Orlando on 7/9;
  • Ardmore, OK on 7/19;
  • additional day in Little Rock on 7/25;
  • returning to Hazle Township/Hazleton Area High School on 8/3 - 8/5.
Contact me with any questions and/or when you're able to help us feed your child.

A HUGE thank you to everyone at Hempstead for providing the location for camp!

It Isn't Long Now

It's hard to believe in only eight weeks the corps will be finishing their first week of spring training - also know as cornfield to some old timers.

We need to hear from parents, family, friends and alums if you are able to volunteer on the cooktruck and/or drive a van during tour.  An updated 2017 Cook's Calendar is available on the right under Important Links.

Email me at colts.cooks@comcast.net with your dates or if you have any questions.  The kids, instructional staff and admin staff thank you for volunteering!

March Brass Camp

Camp is going very well this weekend.  Thanks to the Maquoketa school district for allowing us to use their facilities.

The link for the 2017 Cook's Calendar (on the right under Important Links) is now working.  The most recent version is available.
