Today's News

The cooktruck is at "Eden on tour." Shady, secluded beautiful school. A courtyard has picnic tables for them to eat at.They won't know what to do. The trip down on the New Jersey turnpike and Connecticut turnpike was bumpy and long. Lots of traffic and toll booths which really slowed progress. They arrived at 5 this morning and were greeted by a table full of grape, oranges, mini-muffins, and bus snacks. Kids, staff, and cooks got a little early morning snack before some floor time.

Thanks to Eric B's grandma who brought ten containers of Gatorade.

The meatloaf dinner last night was a huge hit. A Good Humor truck waited for them in the parking lot, but they walked right by it for this dinner. One corps vet called it the "best corps meal he'd ever had." That's because it was prepared by a pair of tag team head cooks (Barry and Charlotte) who are celebrating 10 years each of corps cooking. wow. Thanks you guys. It's been a very difficult schedule this week, moving nearly every night and a show almost every night. Good to know the vets are in there handling it.

In other news, The Colt Cadets had a successful Canadian swing and several of them with parents in tow are set to arrive on Wednesday to cheer on the Colts. Have a safe trip to them and anyone else luck enough to be making the trip.
As always, check colts.org for the latest official word on tour news, housing sites, mail drops, or other corps information.

Just wanted to wish all who are going to finals....the best of times!!!!

This is the first one I have missed in 5 years...but I will be with Bill and Luba Symoniak and others at a movie theater in Mpls for Quarterfinals. This should be very interesting to say the least!!!

If you are already at finals....please cheer loudly and passionately for our kids...they deserve to hear from us for all the dedication and hard work they and the staff/volunteers have put in this summer. What a summer is has been...I am so blessed to have been a small part of it.

GO RED TEAM...you are the greatest!!!!

I can't thank the cooks on this last leg of the tour enough for making sure our tired kids and staff are well fed. Hope you got to use the leftover spaghetti sauce from Indy! My 10 days on the cook truck hold fond memories, and I will be there again next year.....doing what I can to be "mom" to 135 kids. What a great season! Thanks again to everybody, but especially to all our kids for giving us parents the ride of our lives! GO COLTS!!!!

Thanks again to all the Cooktruck crew for all the hard work, long hours and miles and for keeping us homebound parents up to date on the summer. We'll be at the cinema on Thursday to see the 1/4 finals. GO COLTS!!!
