Announcements
  • Sorry for the delay in getting the Cooktruck started.  Our objective is to provide an update each day of tour.  That said, we are volunteers and have jobs, and lives, besides the Virtual Cooktruck so we might not always be totally successful.
  • "Cornfield Tour" is under way.  DCI has been calling this "spring training".  Not sure - but I thought that was back in February and took place in Florida/Arizona.
It's been suggested "Cornfield Tour" sounds "corny" (sorry) and doesn't sound inviting to non-Midwest prospective members.  What do you think about changing the name?

Dress Warm for Camp

Bring the warm clothes with you to Dubuque.  While it might be in the 30s on Thursday and Friday, Saturday night will be well below zero.  With a high of "nothing" (zero) on Sunday.

Come prepared to work hard, learn lots and make great friends.  Bring the jumper cables if you have them.  Travel safe and make sure you know how to adjust the heat in your car.

Still having permissions problems on the server so I am unable to post an updated calendar.  I am sending the calendar to Gary and asking him to post it on Facebook.

If you want a copy of the most recent calendar, email me at colts.cooks@comcast.net and I'll send it out.

Happy 2016!

The Colts have been in 2016 since our first camp in November.  Now that it is January, the non-Drum Corps people have finally caught up with us.

The January camp, at Five Flags Center, starts a week from tomorrow.  You can get all the camp information you need on the Colts home page (colts.org).

I am having server issues and can't post a new 2016 cooks calendar.  As soon as we get it resolved, I'll post the updated one.

"Holiday" Camp Starts Tomorrow

The camp starts with registration at 7:30 in Roosevelt Middle School in Dubuque.  The Colts home page has directions to the school here.  Looks like the weather should hold and not be a problem.

Travel safe.

First 2016 Camp a Success

Following the 2015 banquet, the 2016 season kicked off on Friday night at Five Flags Center in Dubuque.

The large turnout worked hard learning music, spinning flags and rifles, and perfecting their marching.  Their reward was the performance on Sunday afternoon.

The next camp is Friday through Sunday, December 18- 20 in Dubuque at Roosevelt Middle School.  Can't wait to see everyone again!

Oh yeah - the 2016 Cook Calendar is now available under Important Links on the right.
