Denver. World Championships. Wow.
This will be the last of the daily postings for the season. All the bloggers will be in Denver by tomorrow morning, and I don't think we'll have access (or much time) to post daily updates to the Virtual Cooktruck from there. I have a few tricks up my sleeve, though, so if you can't make it to the mountains, check back here to see if we're successful in blogging from the road. And there'll no doubt be a wrapup when we return after tour.
Come by and say hi in Denver if you see Bill or David or Jody.
And as always:
GO COLTS. WE LOVE YOU ALL!

Hello to the Colts family....
What a semi-finals night. Again, skies were threatening rain. It rained cats and dogs to the south of Denver, but only a few drops at the Invesco Field. But, the Gods were with us and it all moved on!!!!!
What a venue....can't say enough about this field. The on-site parking, closeness to the Colts busses and nice seats for us oldsters.
Ran into David and Bill and Jody....they send their best wishes to you all...still looking for internet hook-up at the school, so I am doing this from a hotel (I feel very guilty about this sleeping in a hotel room instead of the floor).
The Colts had a fantastic performance last night. The instructors and the crowd were truly excited. The Colts seem to wow them every time they enter the field.
Official pictures after the show...lots of tears and lots of smiles. It was so nice to see so many parents who could make it out to Denver laughing and hugging their kids after the show. There were some very proud family members along with the staff beaming at the Colts during pictures.
The DVD tent was a popular one as they got to see their evening performance immediately after the show. What a awesome sight...I didn't know you could fit 135 in one of those...
They left after the pictures last night to have dinner at the housing site which by bus is about 1-1/2 hours north of Denver..depending on I-25.
Today is the final practice about 11....think of the Colts as they have their last time of practice together. Then on to semi-finals!
Tomorrow will be a picnic in Estes Park and then final Corps meeting and an end to a fabulous season.
Hope you are all enjoying the day.....I know Tom and I will as we are going up to Loveland for that last practice.
