Today's News

John L. and Tom C. drive.
Lauren and Sue P. sewing.

Samuel R. Hazo, the composer of 'Ride', was in all day yesterday to work with the corps on changes to the show. He talked to the corps a lot about the genesis of the piece and stayed until after 11 p.m. He had a lot of good inspirational words for the Colts.

It rained most of the day yesterday, and it was cloudy again this morning, but the cooks were hopeful it was going to clear off later. Jody G is yelling at the ovens this morning becasue they didn't want to start up and run. (Did anyone check to make sure there was gas in the tanks?)

Jenny A. stopped by to visit yesterday and everyone was excited to see her. She left a note for the Colts on the board: "Hey, family. Keep working your tails off. Please don't take anything for granted. I love you all with all my heart. Love, Jenny."

The corps is working really, really hard in mid-season camp. The whole show has been revamped. 'Ride' has been completely changed. And most of the changes were already on the field last night! The changes were not in for the run-through last night, but the Colts stayed after the run-through and worked on the show more and got all of them in. Way to work Colts!

As always, check colts.org for the latest official word on tour news, housing sites, mail drops, or other corps information.

Hey David,

I think the Naperville gang is bringing fresh pies for dessert tonight.... The cooktruck will know for sure, but I think that was the plan.

There is never a Certified Cooktruck Engineer around when you need one! Hopefully I'll be back on the road for a week next year
