Today's News

Sue P., who has quietly been on tour this week doing uniforms, leaves after the show tonight. Just because we don't always talk about the uniform moms, don't think we don't know you're there. Thanks to Sue and Lauren. (The schedule says Lauren is coming back on for a couple of weeks, starting tomorrow.)

Great day today. Clear, blue sky overheard. Cool and breezy. The cooler weather has given everyone a lift. Especially the corps members. The staff said last night's runthrough was the best they've seen so far on tour.

Rod confirmed that the postcards will not be in for the Normal show. The frames still need some work. They'll be there when they're ready. Jeff Decker, who lives nearby, had lots of friends show up for the runthrough and lots of townspeople came out, so there was a good-sized crowd at the Metamora practice field Thursday night.

Jeff Decker's "church grandmas" also showed up with what Rod called "an amazing variety of homemade cookies."

Drink Flavor of the Week: Bath Water (A new favorite to add to the list. Glad to hear the cooks are keeping up the tradition of good-tasting drinks with terrible-sounding names.)

As always, check colts.org for the latest official word on tour news, housing sites, mail drops, or other corps information.

This is ironic...I was trying to figure out todays schedule and if it was worth driving up to rehearsal today. Checked the cook truck, not there yet. Called Jared who didn't know(!) and checked back here and voila the schedule. Word up to Jared and Travis for working their butts off all day yesterday and today modifying the props to make the damn things workable. I kinda wish I could've been there, sounds like just the thing to make my engineering degree useful (although I probably would've made it more complicated then need be) - heh... I will see everyone at the show tonight. LeAnn (only gone since Monday and in withdrawal!)

I know what you mean about withdrawal - I've been gone since a week ago Thursday and will be back tomorrow - can't wait. Sounds like they've made a lot of progress yet again and soon we'll even get to see the postcards working too. Yayyyyy!!! When are you back LeAnn?? See you all soon...Luba

I'm back in on the 4th...if I can figure out how on earth to get from here to Chicago. Would not be so difficult if all the corps vehicles weren't doing the parade. - LeAnn
