Today's News

Guess what. The cooktruck is down to two pans of homemade cookies. (Hint, hint) So, BRING ON THE COOKIES! Yea!

A big thanks to the parents who brought the frozen blackberries that were turned into this morning’s blackberry syrup for waffles. They were a huge hit!

And the cooks send out a big thanks to all the parents and others who have dropped off jelly, cereal, and other supplies. You guys are still the best.

As always, check colts.org for the latest official word on tour news, housing sites, mail drops, or other corps information.

Group Meditation?? That's a new one. Anybody know what that is? Maybe giving the kids some down time to relax and reflect?

I really don't make these things up, guys. That's what they said this morning. I was out at a meeting when they called, so I didn't have a chance to ask what it meant....

Hello all,

Barry and I went to the show last night - the first time I have actually seen the corps this year. And Barry was told that today the members were going to have a "nap break," which is a new one in my 16 years of experience with the corps. I'm guessing Group Meditation is a fancy name for nap break. I think the point is that everyone has been a little tired.

But from my vantage point and the very brief time I spent with them, the corps seemed great. Sue and Lauren HAVE finished the uniform fitting, and it was noted that everyone's butts looked great. Can I say that here?

Some members thought last night's show was a little "flat," but people seemed pleased that their score continues to rise. I'm excited to learn how things go in Kalamazoo. Go Colts!

yeah it's basically a few hours of free time for the members to do whatever they want. including crash out if they want.

Hello from Texas,

We can't for ya'll (you all) to get here! We're gonna (going) do our best to keep those yummies coming! (LOL on the Texan accent!!!) O.K. Texas parents, bring it on!

Also, we'll do our best to get an overcast sky so you don't have to deal with the 110-112 heat index! By the way, here is a little Texas humor: Where in the US do dogs have their own personal fans? Texas of course!

I can't wait until you get here! I am looking forward to seeing the fantastic Colts show everyone is raving about and of course to see Ashleigh and to work with those excellent Colts cooks!

See you soon and thanks again for all you do! You guys are the best!

I saw the show in Charleston, IL and also thought the show started out a little off kilter.........however, the reverberation from the wall behind the visitors side of the stadium was probably the culprit. The kids pulled it out tho, and I got the usual chills when they turned to face the audience in the opener. They' re hot this year....and definitely deserve that "meditation time". From what my son was telling me, they have been working very hard the last few days, and got this down time as a sort of "well-done". I miss the cook truck (did I say that????) and the corps.....go Contras!! Go COLTS!!!
