Today's News
John and Suzie drive.

After snack last night, it poured rain, which was a good thing. Lights out was early last night, and it cooled things off a little bit. It's warm today, but certainly more tolerable. Nice and clear today with blue skies.

After the show tonight, the corps has a 14-hour drive ahead of them, on the way to Goshen, IN. The cooks are preparing "bus bags" so the kids can have some fresh fruit and drink for a snack in the morning. Cereal will be ready for them upon arrival, and the cooks are preparing as much of the lunch in advance, so it can quickly follow - 'should be interesting.

Thanks to David & Kathleen Kalek for the donation of bananas and grapes.

Thanks to Susan & Ian Palmer, and Chuck & Carol Collins for the donation of blueberries and bananas.

The next (and final?) food drop is now scheduled for Tuesday, and the freezer is reportedly looking pretty sparce. I guess you can pretty much see what and where everything is, which is way different from the last time I (Rod) was in the friendly confines.

Greg had to go in and get something yesterday, and it took several tools to pry the frozen container from its home; things on the bottom and in the back get pretty stuck on staying there. You freezer jockeys know what I am talking about!

As always, check colts.org for the latest official word on tour news, housing sites, mail drops, or other corps information.

WOW! That picture is great. It shows just how strong these kids are. They battle the heat and come out smiling. Amazing...

Rod I'm with you. I forgot there were shelves under all that food.
A BIG THANK YOU to all the volunteer cooks this summer and to all the people who brought in donations of any kind.

It's sad to think the season is coming to an end.I'm just glad I got to spend sometime with so many great people.
