Today's News

Goodbye to all the departing cooks, but especially to head cook Carole B. The meals have been fantastic. I heard lots of good comments on the food from the corps and even the staff! Thanks a whole bunch.

The kitchen staff requests Gatorade if you're nearby and in the donating mood. Also, if you're thinking about donating, it would be helpful if you could call the cooktruck and ask what they need. Sometimes there are simple, specific things that would be extremely helpful. (For example, Jody and I stopped and picked up dishwashing liquid the other day.)

Donations:
Ryan D's family brought lettuce and bananas
Julie W's fmaily brought blackberry and raspberry homemade jelly (it was served today. I bet it's gone already...)
Amy E brought cookies with her
Hy-Vee and Omaha area families donated cookies
Missy (Colt age-out) brought sherbert

The big news from the cooktruck, though, was that it's food drop day. Lori C. and Paul R. came in to help, as did Colt Cadet parents and others. "We're having fun!" Pat R. said. On food drop day?

Classified ad posted in the cooktruck: Dyersville Beckman is looking for a band director.

As always, check colts.org for the latest official word on tour news, housing sites, mail drops, or other corps information.
