The cooks got to the cooktruck at 6 a.m. and it was pouring rain. But it stopped just in time to serve breakfast. So breakfast was served out of the truck and the kids ate indoors.
While fields dried, the brass learned retreat music inside today. Which was already on the program for the day, so there was nothing was missed. "It was already planned that way," Jody said. "So they are not losing any time when they would have been working on other things." Percussion worked on the baseball field while the other fields dried.
They came and emptied the dumpsters while the cooktruck report was coming in, which made the cooks very happy.
