The Colts beat the Blue Knights for 3rd Place on Thursday night - 65.5 to 64.9. Whoo-hoo! Sebastian called me from the bus last night as I was driving back from Cedar Rapids and the kids were going crazy in the background. (And the Colt Cadets'show was cute as heck.)

Uneventful trip from Cedar Rapids to Naperville. Lots of celebrating after the Colts beat B.K. It was great to see the kids so pumped up.
Lots of help in Naperville today. Rod R. and Tom R. showed up for cook duty and brought helpers with them for the day. Bill says: "New people. Spouses to help. Local people. It's great."
People have asked what they can bring to the cooktruck. Barry is putting together a wish list of fruit and amounts to bring, but while he's doing that here's some stuff they could use:
Strawberry jelly. Or other jelly -- not grape.
Your kid's favorite cereal.
Milk -- skim or 2%. Bring 2 or 3 gallons of each.
Bread. White or wheat sandwich bread. We have to buy that every day.

I left tour last nite when the kids left for their show - I so wish I could have been there, but that's when my chariot home arrived. Congrats Colts on getting ahead of BK!! Keep it up!! I already miss everyone. I worked on the kitchen truck with a great group of people - thanks so much for a wonderful time. By the way Susan, do we need math lessons or what and Marie, I keep laughing still when I think about your answer to my question that nite at Dana College...I hope we all get a chance to work together again. Thanks to everyone along the way at the different cities we stopped at that brought fruit, treats, shopped or helped in whatever way we needed. It was all much appreciate. Thanks so much to all of you who are cooking and keeping up the virtual cooktruck. This means the world to those of us who are too far away to be at the shows. I am guessing most of us are or have been heavily involved in our high school bands and so we have a feel for all of the hard work you are doing. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Also a thanks to the ladies who took extra good care of Adam Bruce (with mono). Even though I still cried when I left I could tell he had good people watching out for him. GO COLTS!
