Today's News
Happy Birthday, Brittany J!

The corps arrived about 1:30 a.m. Today in Minnesota is beautiful, with sunny skies and a light breeze. Peg said it is "Absolutely perfect."

Last night's show was really good, and everyone was excited afterward. Peg says the buses were parked about three-quarters of a mile from the cooktruck last night and they didn't have a big crowd for Meal 4 because some of the members decided not to make the walk but to find other things to do with their time. But it was all good.

As always, check colts.org for the latest official word on tour news, housing sites, mail drops, or other corps information.

WAY TO GO COLTS! We LOVED the show! What a beautiful night in Minnesota! We were Chelsey's fan club in the bright green shirts (making a little bit of noise...we just call that PRIDE!) You guys are just getting started on a GREAT summer! Night and Day enjoy the ride! We love you Chelsey! Safe Travels!

Hello all you Colt fans.....

First off, my thanks to the cooktruck volunteers last week:

Bill Symoniak
Luba Symoniak
Bill McGehee
Lori McGehee
Becky Kumer
Lori McGiveron

And to all the folks that donated fruits and vegetables and stopped by the truck for a visit.

We had a awesome week in South Beloit - our picture window was of the fields the kids were on - we saw and heard them every minute of the day - how much better can life get?

We pretty much had sun everyday...but, good Lord...the wind with whipping around and taking just about everything it could in it's wake.

These Colt kids are awesome - there is just no way around it!!

I wish every parent could be able to spend one day on the truck and see the smiles on the faces of the kids as they walk thru the food line. They are tired, but each have a smile or quirky statement to share with the cooks as they patiently wait for their turn to get well earned food. It makes our job easier (because I kid you naught..we are also tired at the end of the day)- and worth every sacrafice we have made to be there.

Please, make sure you send your Colt a care package to every mail drop...it makes a world of difference to these kids to get something from home!!!!!

This year's show is OVER THE TOP...and I hope all can see it! You can join the Colt Fan Network from DCI and see the regional shows...think about it if you can't personally be at a show this year.

Go Red Team...
Jody Glowaski (last week's head cook and ageout parent)
