I got to talk to Adam (front ensemble) this morning..he said they have a bright sunny day ahead. It was about 7:15 AM CDT and they had about another 2 hours to go to get to housing site. So today will be a short practice day as they have a free night tonight. It's always nice to talk to your child when they are confined in the bus with everyone else napping, it is so quiet and you can hear what they are saying vs outside in front of noisy busses.
He thought they may have changed plans about going to Myrtle Beach because of how far it was from the housing site (something like 2 hours each way at least). He mentioned Charleston as the alternative..so you never know where they may end up.
Once again, Barry and his crew are outdoing themselves. Last night they had dinner after the show...some sort of noodle concoction and taramasu(sp?). Adam was in seventh heaven and seeing alot of the kids did fast food, there was lots for those who hung around. After discussing food with alot of the friends he has in different corps...he said ours outdoes all others. You can't say these kids aren't well fed (and they are most appreciative of it)!
I will be joining the corps on Thursday morning...I can't wait. It is so fun to watch these kids in action and to be in awe of what they have and will accomplish.
Will call in from the road (we also will have David Spears with us)...every day so Bill will have something to post on this great website.
Everyone....have a fantastic day and cheer your Colts on to a great rest of the season.
