Today's News
Happy Birthday, Carol L!

Got in to Sioux Falls about 6 a.m. – early! So early that the cooks got some unscheduled downtime too.

It rained in Sioux Falls, but after the corps got in and settled and before the cooks had to go back out and open up the cooktruck for today. Good timing. (today turned out to be really windy. Really windy)

I’m putting out the “Stop Cookies” sign for right now. We got a great outpouring in Minnesota and Wisconsin, so the corps is good on cookies, for now. Of course, if you’ve already got them bought or baked, bring ‘em.

The corps could use more donations of fruit, though. We got grapes, watermelon, and other fruit over the weekend, but most of that will be gone today. They like fruit.

I was in Menomonie for the show last night. Wow. Wow. Wow. The sound. The colors. The movement. The sound. I kept hearing people in the crowd behind me go, “Look at that. Look at that.” To cap it, the corps got a standing ovation from the very drum corps-savvy Menomonie crowd. And what’s really exciting is we know they are just going to keep getting better. – David S.

As always, check colts.org for the latest official word on tour news, housing sites, mail drops, or other corps information.

Hello Colt family....

Just got off the cooktruck and I am already missing it - but the real life work calls....

So, I can't tell you what a thrill it was to see the kids everyday and work with the volunteers we had last week. Thank you everyone!!!

The show is in one word - awesome! I wish you all could see it today -with the new uniforms/colorguard costumes and the drill and music that is on the field - it is a winner. The kids are working so hard (and eating alot)....

Life was good on tour - can't wait to get back !

One comment - please send mail to your Colt member on tour - they look forward to the care packages and letters - I hate to see sad faces on mail days!!!

The donations of fruit were fantastic - keep them coming! If you have questions as what to bring - just call the cooktruck! But, grapes, oranges, cantalope, peaches, plums, apples and bananas are always keepers. We had watermelon one day last week and the eyes just lit up...nothing better on a hot day!!!
